ACTIHA
Ice Hockey is a fun and exciting sport for players of all ages. The ACT Ice Hockey Association offers leagues for players of different ages and all skill levels, from beginners to experienced.
All local competition occurs in Canberra at the Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre. Teams also compete in interstate and national competitions.
Registration day for 2008 is Sunday 24th February, 10am to 2pm, at Philip Ice Rink, Irving St Philip.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to play Ice Hockey. Develop your skills and take your hockey to a new level for 2008!
Second-hand gear will be for sale. If you have some old equipment you would like to sell, bring it along.
The ACTIHA's AGM will be held on the 13th February 2008 at the Quality Inn. Meeting starts at 7.30pm
Beginner Ice Hockey players are invited to come and try at special development sessions. These sessions are run by qualified coaches and are intended to give players skills and confidence to join a league.
Sticks and helmets are provided by the Ice Hockey Association. It is a good idea to bring your own gloves.
Children under 14 can come to the session on Sundays from 12:15pm to 1:15pm. Adults and children 14 and over can come to the session on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8pm. Cost is $15/session or $50/5 sessions
The ACTIHA is host to the annual Maple Leaf Cup.
