Bantams: 7

BANTAMS (15 & UNDER)

Bantam hockey is to boys and girls aged 15 and under. At this level, ice hockey becomes full contact (i.e. body checking) and slapshots are also allowed.

Training

During the season the Bantams train once a week in the evening. Extra training sessions may be booked in the run-up to league play-offs or national championships.

Players are expected to arrive at training sessions at least one-half hour before the scheduled time to ensure that they are in their equipment and ready to take to the ice, as soon as available.

Competition

The Bantams compete in the New South Wales Hockey League. Games are played either in Canberra or at various Sydney rinks.

Bantam players may also sign up for an extra league and play in the Mixed House League, if appropriate.
