MIDGETS (18 & UNDER)
Midget hockey is to boys aged 18 and boys. At this level, ice hockey is full contact (i.e. body checking ) and slapshots are also allowed.
Training
During the season the Midgets train once a week in the evening. Extra training sessions may be booked in the run-up to league play-offs or national championships.
Players are expected to arrive at training sessions at least one-half hour before the scheduled time to ensure that they are in their equipment and ready to take to the ice, as soon as available.
Competition
The Midgets compete in the New South Wales Hockey League. Games are played either in Canberra or at various Sydney rinks.
Midget players may also sign up for an extra league and play in the Senior B Competition, if appropriate.
