Hockey Academy (Beginners)

Ice Hockey is an exciting sport and you can play too! Boy or girl, 5 years old or 60, there's a league to suit you.

The Junior & Senior Ice Hockey Academy program begins in March 6, 2011. A progression of seven sessions has been designed to build new players' skills. Participants will be evaluated regularly and will graduate to the age appropriate league upon completion.

Junior Academy is for players under 14 years old. Senior Academy is for players 14 years and up.

Coaches will provide instruction to beginners of all ages to develop the basic skills required to graduate to playing in the Sunday local competition games. The cost is $20.00 per session, or $120.00 for 7 sessions. Ice skates, a helmet and a stick are provided. It is recommended that you wear sturdy trousers and a long sleeved top. Gloves are a good idea too.

The aim of these sessions is to get the player ready to join the Association and play in a league. The Association will help with obtaining equipment.
