Players should as a priority play in their designated age category. On occasion, there may be special circumstances in which players may request to play in either the age category above or below their age group. The player must have appropriate hockey skills, as well as the appropriate maturity, to play at another level.
In order for the player to be approved to play in a different age group, a form must be completed by the player, parent/guardian, Head Coach of the Lower Level Grade, Head Coach of the Higher Level Grade and the Coaching Director. Each request will be considered on a case by case basis, with emphasis on ensuring the safety of the player.
Players who are granted permission to play in a grade higher than their age group must understand and agree that their primary responsibility for playing is in their designated grade. Additional play at the higher level may only occur after every attempt to meet the designated grade obligations has been made.
