Player insurance

All registered and financial players of ACTIHA are covered by insurance for injuries. Details are available on the IHA website.

Important points are:

• All injuries must be reported to the State Association Office and Insurance Broker within thirty (30) days of occurrence.
  
  
• Use the Claim Form to report the injury. Actual claims for payment can then be submitted at a later date but must be within thirty (30) days of treatment.
  
  
• Treatment must take place within twelve ( 12 ) months of the injury occurring.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to make a claim, please do the following.

1. Print the IHA page 50 of the IHA Sport Regulations 2011, complete and submit to the ACTIHA President. Use this form even though it specifies it is for injuries sustained while participating in IHA National Championships.
2. Complete the on-line claim form available through the IHA insurance broker Sportsnet Australia.

Note that it is useful to have any injuries noted on the gamesheets before they are signed at the end of games.
